This guide shows how to install Office 2024 Standard on a Windows PC. The installation includes downloading, extracting, and activating the software with your product key.

Step 1: Remove older versions of Office

Before installing Office 2024, we recommend removing any older versions of Microsoft Office from your PC.

 

How to uninstall existing Office versions

Step 2: Download and install Office 2024 Standard

  1. Click the Download button below.

  2. If your browser asks where to save the file, choose Save.

  3. When the download is finished, open your Downloads folder and double-click MS_Office_Standard2024_Installer.exe to start the installation.

  4. Choose your language.

  5. Select 32-bit or 64-bit installation (if unsure, see help here).

  6. The installation will start.

You will choose your preferred language during the installation on your computer.

If a third-party antivirus is blocking the installation, click here to read how to turn it off temporarily. This is normal behavior when downloading .exe files directly from a link.

Step 3: Activate Office

  1. When the installation is complete, open any Office app — for example, Word or Excel.

  2. Enter your product key and click Activate. Or click the “Account” tab after opening Word, and select “Change product key”.

If you don’t see the option to enter a product key:

  • Click “Choose another account”.

  • Then select “Enter a product key instead”.

About the Installation File

The installer we provide is a pre-configured setup file. It downloads Office directly from Microsoft’s servers and makes the installation simple.
